For over two decades, Prison Performing Arts has been helping incarcerated men and women—as well as justice-involved youth—discover their inner light through the creative arts. By hosting poetry workshops and theatre programs inside prison and juvenile justice centers, PPA offers an incredible outlet for self-discovery, teamwork, and emotional expression.

Since 2018, I have supported PPA's internal and external communications efforts. I write and design social media content, email newsletters, press releases, website content, and print collateral for fundraisers and events. Our ongoing challenge is to inform the public about why the creative arts help lower recidivism rates, all while encouraging them to attend prison performances in prison—because that's where the magic happens.
